Liverpool granted dream title race fixture scenario after final decision confirmed with Arsenal blow

Liverpool can now plan for the remainder of the season with all of their Premier League fixtures finally set in stone.

The Reds have just six more top-flight matches remaining this season before the Jurgen Klopp era draws to a close. Liverpool are currently battling to win the league title with Manchester City and Arsenal across the busy run-in.

Sunday will see Liverpool return to Premier League action when they face Fulham at Craven Cottage. Klopp and Co. go into the game on the back of a disappointing defeat to Crystal Palace last week, though they’ll have the chance to bounce back against Atalanta in the Europa League on Thursday night.

After facing Fulham, the Reds will have five more Premier League matches. Despite the season already nearing its conclusion, up until Wednesday night there was still the possibility of one fixture needing to be rescheduled.

Liverpool are due to face West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday, April 27 in a 12.30pm lunchtime kick-off. However, there was a chance that the game could have been rearranged due to a matter out of either team’s control.

Wednesday night saw Arsenal face Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final. The Gunners went into the game with it all to play for having drawn the first leg 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium last week.
