Knife hold-up appeal as police issue CCTV image

Police have issued CCTV images of two youths who may have information about an attempted knifepoint robbery. It happened in Sheldon Heath Road, which links Sheldon and Lea Hall, on the evening of Saturday, December 16.

A victim was threatened with a knife but the attackers fled empty-handed. West Midlands Police issued an image of two youths on a bus who officers would like to speak to.




One had dark hair, with a bowl-like haircut and wore glasses and a black jacket. The second had a black hoodie on with the hood up and wore a Covid mask but was holding it and had pulled it off his mouth.

West Midlands Police said: “Do you recognise these two teenage boys? We need your help to identify them as they are wanted in connection with an attempted knife-point robbery which took place on Sheldon Heath Road in Birmingham on the evening of December 16.

“The attempted robbery took place in the street. We’ve carried out a number of enquiries to identify them and are now asking for the public’s help.
