Edinburgh woman, 58, rushed to hospital after emergency near retail park

A 58-year-old woman was rushed to hospital following a crash involving a lorry near Craigleith Retail Park.

The incident occurred at around 7.07am on Wednesday April 17 at the junction connecting South Groathill Avenue and Queensferry Road.

Police Scotland closed off the busy junction while they responded to the incident.

Paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service were called to Queensferry road and later rushed a woman, 58, to Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary for treatment to ‘serious injuries.’

One local worker, who wished to remain anonymous said that a colleague of there’s had witnessed emergency services descending on South Groathill Avenue at around 7am.
